About Future of Banking

The financial industry is being reshaped by artificial intelligence. We started Future of Banking because no one was covering it the way it needed to be covered.

Who we are

Future of Banking is an independent intelligence platform covering the intersection of AI, banking, and fintech. We publish news, analysis, deep research, and event coverage for the people building, investing in, and leading the next generation of financial services.

We are not a generalist tech publication that occasionally covers banks. We are not a legacy trade journal adding AI to its beat. We exist specifically at the intersection — where artificial intelligence meets financial infrastructure — because that is where the most consequential decisions in the industry are being made right now.

Why we started this

Lynda Silfred and Navnita Krishna spent years inside the financial services ecosystem — across global banks, Big 4 consulting firms, and technology-driven financial institutions — before founding Future of Banking.

What they saw, repeatedly, was a gap.

On one side, there were broad AI publications that treated banking as a footnote. On the other, there were banking trade outlets that covered AI as a trend rather than a structural shift. Neither gave decision-makers what they actually needed: sharp, informed, continuously updated intelligence on how AI is reshaping banking operations, products, infrastructure, and competitive dynamics — written by people who understand both the technology and the industry.

That is the gap Future of Banking was built to fill.

Lynda Silfred
Co-Founder

Deep experience across financial services strategy and technology transformation. Having worked with some of the world's largest banks and consulting firms, she understands how institutions actually operate — the internal politics, the regulatory constraints, the difference between a pilot and a production deployment. Her writing is rigorous, grounded, and focused on what matters operationally.

A background spanning banking operations, fintech ecosystems, and emerging market dynamics — particularly across India and Asia. Her work inside major financial institutions and advisory firms gave her a front-row view of how technology adoption actually happens in banking: slowly, unevenly, and with far more complexity than most coverage acknowledges. Her analysis cuts through hype to identify what is structurally significant.

Together, they built Future of Banking around a simple belief: the people making decisions in banking and fintech deserve better intelligence about AI than they are currently getting.

Our editorial approach

We are independent. We do not accept payment for coverage. We do not run sponsored content disguised as editorial. Our analysis reflects our honest assessment, even when that means disagreeing with popular narratives.

We believe the best financial journalism is precise, evidence-based, and useful. We aim to publish work that helps people make better decisions — not just stay informed, but actually think more clearly about what is happening and what it means.

Future of Banking exists because AI is not just changing banking.

It is redefining what a bank is.

And someone needs to cover that story properly.
